Overview

Kainerugaba has also asserted his role as a defender of constitutionalism while maintaining a hardline stance against the National Unity Platform (NUP), recently threatening to hang “most of the NUP terrorists.” These tensions coincide with expanded military investigations into alleged plots involving senior officers, including the detention of Col. Naboth Mwesigwa.
