Muhoozi Kainerugaba receives ministerial apology and business endorsements

Ugandan Minister for the Presidency Milly Babalanda has issued an apology to General Muhoozi Kainerugaba following a public dispute regarding the 2031 presidential election. The disagreement arose after Babalanda suggested in a video that President Yoweri Museveni would remain active in politics and appear on the 2031 ballot, a stance that conflicted with the political camp of Muhoozi, who is expected to seek the presidency after Museveni.

In a separate development, prominent Ugandan business leaders Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia and Godfrey Kirumira have publicly endorsed Muhoozi’s presidential ambitions. The businessmen visited the headquarters of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), the political mobilization group chaired by Muhoozi, to sign endorsement books. This move provides a significant boost to the PLU’s campaign to secure widespread public support for the General’s future leadership bid.
