Multinational military leaders complete mountain warfare training
Military personnel from Croatia and several partner nations have completed a demanding mountain warfare training phase near Udbina. The exercise, conducted by the 13th generation of trainees from the ‘Marko Babić’ Leadership Development Center, lasted three days and four nights.
The training included officers and non-commissioned officers from Croatia, Slovenia, Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, and Montenegro. This cohort featured a record number of international participants, with 19 out of 35 trainees being from foreign armed forces.
Under the guidance of Slovenian instructors, participants practiced mountaineering and alpinism techniques integrated with tactical movement, planning, and leadership. The training involved navigating approximately seven kilometers of rugged terrain with a 600-meter elevation gain while carrying heavy loads. Specific skills covered included rope work, rappelling, climbing techniques, and the installation of via ferrata.
