Multiple explosions hit Kyiv after Russian ballistic missile warning

Around midnight, at least ten explosions were heard across Kyiv following an alert for incoming Russian ballistic missiles. The city’s anti‑aircraft defence was put on full alert and a non‑residential building was struck.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko said Kyiv and its region were under attack, urging residents to remain in shelters as the risk level stayed high. The incident comes amid intensified long‑range missile exchanges between Russia and Ukraine, with civilian casualties rising as both sides continue nightly strikes on each other’s infrastructure.
