Multiple fires break out in Jakarta, hitting a five‑storey house and the Pullman Hotel

A five‑storey residential building on Jalan Kelinci Raya in Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta, caught fire on Tuesday evening. The Jakarta fire department (Gulkarmat) deployed 17 fire engines and 85 personnel to the scene. The blaze remained uncontrolled at the time of reporting, with no cause identified and no confirmed injuries.

Separately, a fire erupted at the Pullman Hotel on Jalan Letjen S. Parman in West Jakarta on Saturday morning. Police sent two witnesses for questioning and dispatched forensic and fingerprint teams to investigate. Fourteen fire engines and 70 firefighters were sent to the hotel, but the cause of the blaze also remains undetermined.
