Mato Grosso emergency services respond to multiple incidents
Emergency responders in Mato Grosso, Brazil, addressed several incidents on Monday and Tuesday. In Alta Floresta, the Military Fire Brigade (CBMMT) treated three victims following separate traffic accidents. These included a 45-year-old man who struck a utility pole and suffered a head injury and seizure, a 39-year-old woman who fell from a motorcycle after a dog crossed her path, and a 44-year-old cyclist involved in a collision with an automobile.
In Três Lagoas, a large fire destroyed a tritrem truck loaded with eucalyptus wood on the highway connecting Três Lagoas and Brasilândia. Preliminary reports suggest a brake failure may have caused overheating in the tires, leading to the blaze. The incident required a joint effort from the Federal Highway Police, local firefighters, and Suzano brigadiers to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby vegetation. No injuries were reported.
Additionally, firefighters in Poconé extinguished a fire in a garbage collection truck located in front of a school. The fire was concentrated in the vehicle's cargo compartment, and no injuries were reported.
