Munich and Black Forest host major cycling rallies in June 2026
On 14 June 2026 the ADFC Munich organized a large “Star Ride” in Munich, drawing thousands of cyclists from the surrounding region. Participants rode star‑shaped routes into the city centre and gathered for a final rally at Königsplatz. The event, under the national slogan “The future rides a bike!”, called for separated bike lanes, protected crossings, a comprehensive network and a 30 km/h speed limit, with particular emphasis on safe school routes.
From 14 June to 19 July, the AOK Schwarzwald‑Baar region ran a series of free, guided cycling tours on five Sundays. The tours, ranging from 30 km family loops to 55 km challenging rides, showcased local scenery such as the Dornhaner Platte, the Vogtei‑Turm and the Glasbachtal. Participation was open to all, helmets were mandatory, and no registration was required.
