Poland arrests 17-year-old for planning mass terrorist attack

The Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW) has arrested 17-year-old Paweł G. from Siemianowice Śląskie for allegedly preparing a mass terrorist attack targeting a school and a mosque. The suspect faces three major charges: participation in an organized criminal group intended to commit terrorist acts, the propagation of Nazi and fascist ideologies, and preparations for the murder of many people.

Authorities stated that the teenager was active in extremist circles on Telegram and Discord, specifically linked to groups such as Atomwaffen Polska and Bierut Soldier ZNB. Investigators seized weapons, explosives, knives, and various items containing Nazi and SS symbolism during searches of his residence. Evidence suggests the suspect was studying the methods of previous mass killers, such as Anders Breivik, to avoid tactical errors.

A court has ordered his three-month detention. The investigation is also examining whether external actors or foreign services played a role in the radicalization process. Two other 16-year-olds previously detained by the ABW are also being investigated in connection with this extremist network.
