Munich’s Bookstock Festival Highlights International Authors for 2026 Literary Season

The Bookstock Festival will be held on 23–24 October 2026 at the Bavaria Studios in Munich and streamed live for free on YouTube. The two‑day event brings together a mix of international best‑selling writers – Pierce Brown, Victoria Aveyard, Joe Hill, Liz Tomforde, Felicia Kingsley – and German guests such as author‑musician Manuel Bittorf and former footballer‑turned‑writer Christoph Kramer. Hosted by Mona Ameziane and Tarkan Bagci, the program focuses on conversations about how stories are created, the origins of ideas and the personal experiences that shape writing.

At the same time, Germany’s literary autumn 2026 offers a slate of new titles. Notable releases include Eva Menasse’s novel "Alleinruhelage", Stefanie Sargnagel’s "Oktoberfest. Ein Spaziergang auf der Wiesn", Isabel Allende’s nonfiction work "Unsere Geschichten. Über das Schreiben" and Caroline Wahl’s "1999 Meter über dem Meer". These books explore themes ranging from family dynamics and historic trauma to reflections on the Gaza conflict and personal self‑discovery, underscoring the season’s blend of social commentary and pure storytelling.
