Munich's Theatron Musiksommer offers free concerts through August

The Theatron Musiksommer, a free summer music series, runs in the open‑air amphitheater of the Olympiapark in Munich until 22 August. Organized by the city’s Kulturreferat together with the Sozialreferat, Feierwerk and the Medienzentrum München, the programme features almost 100 concerts across genres such as classical, pop, jazz, world music and indie.

Daily performances start at 19:00 and end around 22:00, with a special family concert on 9 August beginning at 11:00. Acts include the student orchestra Sinfonietta München, pop‑jazz artist Karoline Weid, the Mosaïc band blending Lebanese, Tunisian and Egyptian sounds, and a range of indie and feminist pop groups. The evenings conclude with a fireworks display over the Olympiapark.
