Municipal Chambers in Brazil Conduct Legislative Training Courses

The Chamber of Apucarana in Paraná hosted Brazil's first in‑person Legislative Impact Analysis course, training more than 60 municipal officials and council members on evaluating the costs, benefits and consequences of proposed laws. The sessions, held on June 24‑25, were led by a substitute judge from the Paraná State Court of Accounts and will be recorded for free video‑lesson distribution to broaden access to the material.

In Pará, the Legislative Police of the Parauapebas City Council completed an operational training program with the Municipal Guard. The course, which began on June 4, covered firearms handling, defensive driving, tactical first aid and other security techniques. Of the original 11 participants, seven successfully finished the program, enhancing the council's capacity for preventive institutional security.
