Municipal Corporation of Delhi conducts 21 demolitions in crackdown

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has intensified its enforcement drive against unauthorized constructions and violations of the Master Plan of Delhi and Building Bye-Laws. In a single day of operations, the corporation conducted 21 demolitions and sealed four properties across all 12 zones of the city.

Major demolition activities were reported in areas including Raghubir Nagar, Sant Nagar, Gurmandi Rajpura, and Kalyan Vihar. Additionally, four demolition orders were issued during the exercise. This follows a previous day of enforcement where 27 demolitions and three property sealings were carried out.

The MCD has reiterated a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal buildings and dangerous structures, directing field officials to maintain strict vigilance to ensure public safety and compliance with established building norms.
