Municipal Corporation of Delhi conducts 38 demolitions in city-wide enforcement drive
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has launched a city-wide enforcement drive targeting unauthorized constructions, dangerous buildings, and violations of the Master Plan of Delhi (MPD) and Building Bye-Laws.
During the most recent phase of the operation, the MCD carried out 38 demolition actions across all 12 zones of the city. Additionally, authorities sealed six properties and issued five demolition orders for violations of building norms. Major demolition activities were reported in areas including Manakpura, Inderpuri, Kirti Nagar, Model Basti, Karkola, Roshanpura, Shakarpur, Jagatpuri, and GD Colony.
This follows a previous enforcement exercise in which 30 properties were demolished and seven properties were sealed. The MCD has directed field officials to maintain strict vigilance to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building norms.
