Municipal Corporation of Delhi demolishes 41 properties in enforcement drive

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has conducted a city-wide enforcement drive targeting dangerous buildings, unauthorised constructions, and violations of the Master Plan of Delhi (MPD) and Building Bye-Laws.

During the most recent intensive exercise, the MCD carried out 41 demolition actions across all 12 zones of the city. Additionally, 10 properties were sealed, and 7 demolition orders were issued against properties found in violation of building regulations. Major actions were reported in several areas, including Vasant Kunj North, Mayapuri DDA Market, Uttam Nagar, Karol Bagh, and Shakarpur, among others.

This follows a similar enforcement operation conducted the previous day, during which 39 properties were demolished and 6 were sealed. The MCD has reiterated a zero-tolerance stance toward unauthorised construction and has directed field officials to maintain strict vigilance to ensure public safety.
