Municipal pools in Argamasilla de Calatrava and Manzanares close summer season

Municipal swimming pools in Argamasilla de Calatrava and Manzanares have concluded their summer seasons following significant usage and facility improvements.

In Argamasilla de Calatrava, the local government reported approximately 6,000 entries, including 5,800 ticket sales and seasonal pass holders. The season also included swimming courses for about 450 participants. Mayor Jesús Ruiz described the season as a “success,” noting that recent renovations to the facilities and improved maintenance of the grass and water hygiene contributed to a positive user experience.

In Manzanares, the municipal pool saw approximately 33,000 visitors between June 12 and August 31. Sports Councilor Laura Carrillo noted that the facilities serve citizens of all ages and maintained the same pricing as the previous year. Recent upgrades in Manzanares included perimeter fencing, new shade areas, and grass installation. Additionally, the municipality implemented a protective mesh in one pool to prevent water evaporation and conserve resources.
