Municipal Water Projects Kick Off in Argentina and Colombia
The municipality of Rosario, Argentina, has launched a 120‑day public‑tendered project to install a new potable‑water network in the city's northeastern neighbourhood. Funded entirely with municipal resources, the work will lay pipelines, valves, hydrants and drainage chambers and connect homes that have lacked reliable water service for more than two decades.
In Fusagasugá, Colombia, the mayor’s office and water company Emserfusa began construction of a new sewer system in the Jordán Medio neighbourhood after 28 years of waiting. The project, serving about 150 families, will replace inadequate sanitation, improve the main road and enhance mobility, health and safety for the community.
Both initiatives aim to resolve long‑standing infrastructure deficits and improve residents’ quality of life in their respective cities.
