Municipalities advance urban infrastructure and public works projects

Various municipalities in Argentina and Spain are executing diverse urban infrastructure and public space improvement projects.

In Argentina, the Municipality of Corrientes is finalizing the structural base for a new Sarmiento monument in Mitre Park, with an inauguration planned for September 11. In Santa Rosa, paving works have begun in the Plan 5.000 neighborhood as part of a larger 79-block asphalt plan. The Municipality of Quilmes is conducting pothole repairs in Quilmes Oeste and paving 37 new blocks in Ezpeleta Oeste to improve road connectivity and safety. Additionally, in Guaymallén, asphalt work has commenced on Urquiza Street following land expropriations to allow for sidewalk expansion and utility upgrades.

In Spain, the removal of the Riegos El Progreso building facade in Valencia has allowed Almórida Street to reopen to traffic. The project includes the restoration of historical elements and prepares the site for archaeological excavations ahead of future municipal construction.
