Municipalities in Chile and Mexico deliver social assistance programs

Local governments in Chile and Mexico have conducted social assistance programs to support residents and community groups.

In Arica, Chile, the DIDECO department completed its sixth annual delivery of social aid. The assistance included food gift cards, travel expenses, and sports equipment, such as tatamis for a judo club. Notable beneficiaries included a senior couple receiving travel support to compete in a national cueca championship in Tomé.

In Caborca, Mexico, the DIF Sonora “Para Ti” brigade provided services to families in the city and the areas of El Diamante and La Y Griega. The initiative distributed over 500 food aid packages through the Alimentos Sonora Hambre Cero program. Additionally, the brigade offered health modules, document issuance, reading glasses, and disability certifications.
