Municipality of Farsala announces 1.5 million euro infrastructure projects

The Municipality of Farsala is launching two major infrastructure projects with a combined budget of 1.5 million euros. These initiatives aim to improve access to agricultural and livestock holdings and repair roads damaged by Storm Daniel in September 2023.

The first project, budgeted at 1 million euros, focuses on agricultural road construction in Dilofos, within the Narthaki municipal unit. This area experiences heavy traffic from farmers and machinery, particularly during summer cultivation and irrigation periods. The project seeks to provide permanent paving to reduce the need for constant maintenance.

The second project, costing 500,000 euros, will take place in the Polydamanta municipal unit. It aims to connect large livestock units to the regional and municipal road networks. This intervention is critical following the erosion, subsidence, and drainage issues caused by the heavy rainfall and flooding of Storm Daniel.
