Muradiye State Hospital conducts joint disaster response drill
Muradiye State Hospital conducted a disaster response drill in collaboration with the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) and the Turkish Red Crescent Muradiye Branch. The exercise was designed to test inter-institutional coordination and response capacity during a potential disaster.
Following a simulated disaster alarm, hospital staff, AFAD teams, and Red Crescent volunteers practiced rapid mobilization, site arrival, the establishment of safe zones, patient evacuation, and initial medical intervention. Selçuk Yay, President of the Red Crescent Muradiye Branch, noted that the drill allowed agencies to identify deficiencies and strengthen coordination, emphasizing that disaster preparedness relies on proactive training rather than just reactive measures.
