Mura–Drava region introduces new electric tourist train

The LAG Mura – Drava Local Action Group has introduced a new electric tourist train to the Mura-Drava region. The vehicle, valued at 130,000 euros, was designed and manufactured by Končar Termotehnika from Sesvetski Kraljevci.

The train features a 30 kWh battery, a maximum speed of 22 km/h, and a theoretical range of up to 100 km. It includes a covered trailer capable of carrying 20 passengers. The inaugural ride is scheduled to take place during the Garlic Days in Donja Dubrava.

This acquisition is a key component of the 'Zlatarske avanture' (Goldsmith Adventures) cross-border project, a 1.2 million euro initiative funded under the Interreg Slovenia – Croatia 2021–2027 program. The project involves partners from both Croatia and Slovenia, including the Municipality of Donja Dubrava and the Slovenian municipalities of Zavrč and Duplek. The initiative has been recognized as the best Interreg Slovenia – Croatia project.
