Musa Mthombeni appointed to Miss South Africa 2026 judging panel

Dr Musa Mthombeni, a medical doctor and television personality, has been announced as a judge for the Miss South Africa 2026 pageant. Mthombeni, a former child star who gained prominence on YOTV and later joined the SABC3 talk show Trending SA, described the appointment as a full circle moment, noting his wife, Liesl Mthombeni, is a former Miss South Africa.

Following the announcement, Mthombeni has faced online scrutiny as older social media posts have resurfaced. Some social media users have questioned his suitability for the role based on these past interactions, sparking debates regarding whether historical online activity should impact current professional appointments in high-profile organizations.
