Museumtijdschrift Tentoonstellingsprijs 2026 announces ten nominees

Ten exhibitions across various Dutch museums have been nominated for the Museumtijdschrift Tentoonstellingsprijs 2026. A professional jury selected the nominees from the past cultural season, covering diverse subjects including art, history, design, and fashion.

Notable nominees include ‘Birds – Curated by The Goldfinch & Simon Schama’ at the Mauritshuis, ‘Jacob Lawrence, African American modernist’ at Kunsthal KAdE, and ‘Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses’ at Kunsthal Rotterdam. Other participating institutions include the Rijksmuseum, H’ART Museum, Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, Teylers Museum, Museum Cobra, Groninger Museum, Singer Laren, and the Mauritshuis.

The winner, determined by public vote, will receive a prize of 10,000 euros. Voting is open from August 25 until September 13 via the official website. The award ceremony is scheduled for October 7 at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
