Music from Greece to lead national delegation at WOMEX 2026

Music from Greece, the official music export office of Greece, will organize the country’s national representation at WOMEX 2026 for the fourth consecutive year. Supported by the Greek Ministry of Culture, the delegation aims to expand international contacts and create professional opportunities for Greek artists and industry professionals.

The global music industry event is scheduled to take place from October 21 to 25 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, attracting over 2,600 professionals from approximately 90 countries. The Greek presence will be centered at national pavilion D11–D12.

Two Greek acts are scheduled for showcases on October 24: Kadinelia, performing in the Official Showcase Selection with a blend of traditional sounds, blues, rock, and psychedelic music, and Alkyone, participating in the upBeat Night within the offWOMEX Showcase, presenting a mix of Northern Greek traditions, contemporary compositions, and indie folk. A special Greek reception will also be held at the national pavilion for international festival representatives, cultural organizations, and journalists.
