Francesco Guccini: Musical tributes organized across Italy

Various Italian communities are organizing musical tributes to honor the late singer-songwriter Francesco Guccini, who passed away on August 6 in Pavana.

In Poggibonsi, the event “Questa domenica in settembre” will take place on September 20 in Piazza Rosselli. Organized by Fondazione Elsa and the Municipality of Poggibonsi, the gathering is designed as a participatory acoustic session where the public is encouraged to bring instruments and sing classic tracks such as “La locomotiva” and “L’avvelenata.”

Lamezia Terme will host “Canzone per Francesco. Omaggio a Guccini” on September 12 at the Chiostro Caffè Letterario. This event, promoted by the local municipality and the Premio Muricello, will feature a combination of musical performances and thematic discussions to reflect on Guccini’s artistic and human legacy.
