Indonesia observes Maulid Nabi through diverse religious and social celebrations

Various communities across Indonesia are observing the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW (the Prophet's birthday) through diverse religious and social activities. In Jakarta, preacher Das’ad Latif addressed Muslimat NU at Masjid Istiqlal, emphasizing the importance of reviving family traditions and character education to foster a better nation.

In Central Sulawesi, the PW IKA PMII celebrated the occasion with a notable display of tolerance, receiving ‘Maulid eggs’ from non-Muslim families. Other regional observances included school programs at SD Negeri Banjarsari 5 in Serang focused on student character, a ‘kembang telor’ parade at Masjid Al Yaqin in Bandar Lampung, and community gatherings in Kertasana and Hamparan Perak involving local security forces and mosque committees.

Across these events, the central themes remain the emulation of the Prophet's character, the strengthening of social bonds, and the promotion of religious tolerance and community unity.
