Uttar Pradesh police arrest suspects in multiple murder and rape cases
Police in Uttar Pradesh have made several high-profile arrests following various violent incidents. In the Shreya Upadhyay murder case, main suspect Vivek Chaubey was apprehended during a police encounter in Rajatalab. Chaubey reportedly killed Upadhyay because he was angry that her marriage had been arranged elsewhere.
In Kanpur, authorities solved the murder of pharmaceutical businessman Vineet Minocha. Investigations revealed that his daughter-in-law, Shalu, allegedly hired a domestic worker named Vishal to carry out the killing. The motive was reportedly resentment over the businessman's strict control over family finances and lifestyle. Vishal confessed to attacking Minocha 26 times with a knife.
In Muzaffarnagar, a sensitive case involving the abduction and rape of a 14-year-old girl on the night of Janmashtami has led to the arrest of the primary suspect, Sameer.
