Máxima series announces major cast change for season 3
The Dutch historical drama series ‘Máxima’ is undergoing a major cast overhaul for its third season. Videoland and Millstreet Films have confirmed that the production will feature a 15-year time jump, moving the narrative focus to the first decade of King Willem-Alexander’s reign following his 2013 inauguration.
To reflect this new era, a new ensemble of actors will portray the Dutch Royal Family. Natali Anna will take over the role of Queen Máxima from Delfina Chaves, while Ruben Brinkman will replace Martijn Lakemeier as King Willem-Alexander. The new cast also includes Rosa van Leeuwen as Princess Amalia, Fiene Mooij as Princess Alexia, and Charlotte Kampinga as Princess Ariane.
While previous seasons focused on Máxima Zorreguieta’s transition from Argentina to European royalty, the upcoming season will explore the couple managing monarchical responsibilities and raising their three daughters under public scrutiny.
