Cast overhaul for ‘Máxima’ series third season
Overview
Videoland and Millstreet Films have announced a major cast overhaul and narrative shift for the third season of the Dutch historical drama series ‘Máxima’.
The upcoming season will feature a 15-year time jump, moving the focus to the first decade of King Willem-Alexander’s reign following his 2013 inauguration. While previous seasons depicted Máxima Zorreguieta’s transition from Argentina to European royalty, the new installment will explore the royal couple managing monarchical responsibilities and raising their three daughters under public scrutiny.
To reflect this new era, several lead actors will be replaced. Natali Anna will take over the role of Queen Máxima from Delfina Chaves, and Ruben Brinkman will succeed Martijn Lakemeier as King Willem-Alexander. The new ensemble also includes Rosa van Leeuwen as Princess Amalia, Fiene Mooij as Princess Alexia, and Charlotte Kampinga as Princess Ariane.
