Máximo Kirchner launches national tour in Paraná, Argentina

National deputy Máximo Kirchner will be in the city of Paraná on Friday, 12 June, to open a public meeting at the ATE headquarters. The event, scheduled for 18:30, marks the start of a nationwide tour aimed at discussing the judicial situation of former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who is under house arrest, and the broader economic and social challenges facing millions of Argentines.

The gathering coincides with the 23‑year anniversary of former president Néstor Kirchner’s 2003 visit to Paraná, a symbolic choice that underscores the Kirchnerist legacy. Organized under the slogan “Cristina Libre,” the meeting will feature political leaders, trade‑union representatives, student groups and other social actors, and is intended to generate debate on what the organizers describe as a process of political proscription.

Kirchner’s tour is presented as a barometer for the current state of Peronism, a year after the judicial actions against Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, and is expected to shape the opposition’s strategy ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
