My Vintage Dress atelier faces fraud probe and eviction in São Paulo
The luxury wedding dress atelier My Vintage Dress, located in the Pinheiros district of São Paulo, is facing multiple legal and financial crises. The Civil Police have opened an investigation into potential fraud (estelionato) following numerous complaints from brides regarding undelivered dresses, incorrect models, and lack of refunds.
Owner Camila Rossi claims the business disruption was caused by an employee embezzling approximately R$ 1 million. Her defense maintains that the shop is attempting to fulfill existing contracts despite the financial setback. However, the establishment has failed to attend meetings summoned by Procon-SP to address dozens of consumer complaints.
In addition to the fraud allegations, the company is facing an eviction lawsuit due to unpaid property taxes (IPTU) totaling over R$ 41,000. Several clients have reported being left without dresses just days before their weddings, leading to protests at the physical location.
