Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing visits VinFast plant in Hai Phong

Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing visited the VinFast manufacturing complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, on September 4, 2026, as part of an official state visit. Welcomed by VinFast Global Chairman Pham Nhat Quan Anh, the President toured the body shop and electric vehicle assembly lines.

During the tour, the President observed VinFast’s automated production processes and international product lineup. He expressed interest in the quality of the Vietnamese-made electric vehicles and the company’s rapid growth. VinFast has held the top market share in Vietnam for 24 consecutive months and has expanded its presence to 16 countries, including markets in North America, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The visit occurs as Vietnam and Myanmar seek to strengthen cooperation across various sectors, aiming to foster new opportunities for the business communities of both nations in industrial, commercial, and green transportation fields.
