Mykonos police arrest man after drug stash discovered by police dog

Police in Mykonos have arrested a 24-year-old Albanian national following a drug trafficking investigation. An operation conducted on August 26 led to the discovery of a stash house in the Ftelia area used to store narcotics before they were distributed across the island.

A specially trained police dog played a crucial role in the operation, locating hidden quantities of cocaine, ketamine, and 382 ecstasy pills within a residence.

The investigation began after authorities utilized intelligence and conducted discreet surveillance on the suspect. Police observed the individual using a motorcycle to make frequent, brief visits to the Ftelia residence, often staying for less than 20 minutes before meeting other individuals to exchange small packages for cash. This pattern of behavior was identified as evidence of organized drug distribution.
