Greek police dismantle multiple drug trafficking rings across several regions

Greek police have conducted several major drug trafficking operations across various regions, resulting in multiple arrests and significant seizures of cannabis and cocaine.

In Chania, a 21-year-old was arrested after police intercepted courier packages containing drugs hidden inside toy boxes. The investigation led to the seizure of approximately 12.2 kg of cannabis and 459 grams of cocaine, as well as a vehicle used for transport. A second package was also intercepted in Heraklion containing similar contraband.

In Mykonos, two 23-year-olds were arrested following an operation targeting a drug distribution network that utilized motorcycles. Authorities seized over 4.6 kg of cannabis, 688 grams of cocaine, and 21,800 euros in cash.

In Messinia, a criminal organization was dismantled by the Kalamata Drug Prosecution Department. Four individuals were charged, with two already in custody. Police seized over 10 kg of cannabis, with estimated potential profits exceeding 30,000 euros.

Additionally, in Santorini, two individuals were apprehended during a drug transaction, leading to the seizure of cannabis, cocaine, and a knife.
