Myles Borne addresses heel turn and title losses at WWE NXT Heatwave

Myles Borne has addressed his sudden heel turn during the WWE NXT Heatwave event, where he lost both the NXT North American Championship and the NXT Tag Team Championship. Borne, who entered the event as a double champion, lost the tag titles alongside partner Tavion Heights to The Vanity Project’s Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes. Later, Borne lost the North American Championship to Jackson Drake following interference.

Following the losses, Borne attacked Heights with the ‘Borne Again’ maneuver, ending their partnership. Borne stated on social media that he does not regret his decision or defending both titles, noting that he felt he saw warning signs from Heights in the weeks leading up to the event. He claimed the betrayal was a preemptive strike, stating, “I knew how much it meant to you, and I knew if I turned my back on you, you were going to suplex me into the fifth row.”
