Mystery Over Death of Former Indonesian Prosecutor’s Household Head Sutrimo

Sutrimo, identified as the former head of household (Karumga) for ex‑special crimes prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah, returned to his hometown in Banyumas, Central Java, about a week before his death. He reportedly voiced concerns to relatives that his superiors were in trouble and that many colleagues were being arrested. According to Pitra Romadoni, president of the Petisi Ahli group, Sutrimo was later summoned back to Jakarta by an unidentified man who gave him Rp5 million to travel. He was found dead in front of a beauty clinic in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, with no prior medical history and witnesses saying “foam came out of his mouth.” Romadoni called the circumstances “very strange” and urged a police investigation and exhumation, citing pressure from human‑rights and social‑activist groups.

The case has sparked calls for a thorough forensic review, with activists demanding that the death be treated as suspicious rather than a natural occurrence.
