Nabatieh schools reopen amid security concerns in Lebanon
Public schools in Nabatieh, Lebanon, have commenced the new school year despite ongoing security concerns and Israeli attacks. While many students opted for in-person learning, schools in the University District face significant risks due to their proximity to targeted areas such as Ali al-Taher Hill and al-Dabshah Hill.
To ensure safety, some institutions have relocated to alternative sites. For example, Hassan Kamel al-Sabah Public High School moved to the Nabatieh Vocational School building. Despite the displacement, school officials reported high attendance, with over 800 students present. Facilities have also been equipped with high-speed internet to support remote learning for students displaced from the region.
