Nablus settler injured in stabbing attack near Awsarin

An Israeli settler was seriously injured following a stabbing attack near a settlement outpost close to the village of Awsarin, southeast of Nablus in the West Bank. According to Israeli media, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds and was evacuated to a hospital via helicopter; medical reports describe his condition as ranging from moderate to serious.

The perpetrator, identified as Mahmoud Mohammed Arabi Mohsen, reportedly arrived at the site in a vehicle, engaged with the settler, and then fled the scene. Following the incident, the Israeli military deployed significant reinforcements to the area, initiating wide-scale search and pursuit operations. Security measures, including checkpoints and cordons, were imposed on several villages surrounding Nablus to locate the assailant.

Israeli forces later announced that Mohsen was killed during the pursuit. The incident occurs amid rising tensions in the West Bank, characterized by increased settler activity and military incursions in the Nablus governorate.
