Nadbużański Landscape Park nominated for ‘Wonders of Poland’ award
Nadbużański Landscape Park has been nominated for the ‘Cuda Polski 2026’ (Wonders of Poland) plebiscite organized by National Geographic Traveler. The park is one of the largest protected areas in the Mazovia region.
Sylwester Chołast, director of the Mazovian Landscape Parks Complex, highlighted the park's natural value, noting its Bug and Narew river valleys, river islands, and habitats for over 191 bird species. The area is also noted for its preserved natural landscape, traditional agriculture, and historical connections to figures such as Stefan Wyszyński and Cyprian Kamil Norwid.
Voting for the competition is open on the National Geographic website until October 13, with results to be announced the following day.
