Nadia Beller attacked in Santa Cruz; partner detained

Nadia Beller is receiving hospital treatment in Santa Cruz following an armed attack where two individuals, disguised as food delivery workers, intercepted her and shot her at close range. During the incident, one assailant fired three shots while the other stole her belongings.

Fernando Cerimedo, Beller’s partner, has been detained and faces accusations of attempted femicide. Following the attack, Beller reportedly contacted Cerimedo via telephone to ask if he was responsible. While Cerimedo’s defense claims he was attempting to travel to Argentina with a large sum of money when intercepted by police, he has exercised his right to remain silent during questioning.

Aldo Silva Peña, known as ‘El Juancho,’ has been identified by police as a suspected material author of the attack. In a video statement, Silva Peña announced he is arranging his surrender to authorities, claiming he fears for his life due to increasing pressure from unknown parties. He alleged that the attack had a different objective than initially reported and claimed there are seven other individuals involved, including four material authors and three intellectual authors who planned and financed the event.
