Nadia Beller questions legal actions against Prosecutor General Mariaca

Nadia Beller, a lawyer and complainant in a case against Fernando Cerimedo, has raised concerns regarding the legal proceedings against Bolivia’s Prosecutor General, Roger Mariaca. Beller questioned the validity of using an informal audio from drug trafficker Sebastián Marset as judicial evidence to justify actions against Mariaca, arguing it does not constitute conclusive proof.

Beller expressed apprehension that the current institutional crisis within the Prosecutor's Office could compromise ongoing investigations into Cerimedo. She specifically warned about the potential loss of evidence and the integrity of the chain of custody during police operations at Ministry of Public Prosecution facilities.

Additionally, Beller has highlighted Cerimedo’s international connections, sharing a photograph of him with Donald Trump Jr. and former campaign manager Brad Parscale. She suggested these links might imply international protection. Beller has also submitted evidence to the Prosecutor's Office alleging Cerimedo’s involvement in influencing appointments at the state oil company, YPFB, and participating in operations involving fuel and gold.
