NADRA issues advisory on B-Form and CNIC registration
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued an advisory regarding the issuance of Child Registration Certificates (B-Forms) and first-time Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC).
Parents are advised to ensure their children possess a B-Form that includes photographs and fingerprints. If this biometric information is not already in NADRA’s records, the child must visit a registration centre in person to record the necessary data before a CNIC application can be processed.
However, if a child’s photograph, fingerprints, and iris scans are already linked to their B-Form in the system, parents can apply for a first-time CNIC digitally via the PakID mobile application. For standard B-Form applications, parents can also use the PakID app to apply from home and download the document once completed.
