Nagaland advances educational technology and innovation initiatives

Educational initiatives in Nagaland are focusing on technological integration and innovation. NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is collaborating with the Nagaland government to organize a consultative workshop for the AIM 2.0 Frontier Region Programme. This initiative aims to strengthen entrepreneurship in remote and border regions. For Nagaland, the proposal includes the establishment of 93 Atal Tinkering Labs and two Atal Incubation Centres to foster student innovation.

In a separate effort to modernize teaching, the Nagaland Education Association, in partnership with Nagaland University and Alder College, held a workshop in Kohima focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the SWAYAM platform. The training aims to equip faculty with skills to use emerging technologies and leverage digital platforms to provide accessible, fee-free education to students in remote areas and working professionals.
