Nagaland Governor calls for outcome-based governance in Mokokchung

Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav has called for a transition from scheme-based approaches to outcome-based governance during a high-level review meeting in the Mokokchung district. While reviewing various developmental projects, Yadav emphasized the need for accountability, inter-departmental convergence, and strict timelines for implementation.

The Governor directed government officers to conduct regular field inspections and to fix responsibility for any delays in project execution. He specifically urged departments involved in agriculture, tourism, and youth development to work collaboratively rather than in isolation to ensure more effective results.

Regarding youth development, Yadav advocated for a focus on digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and employable skills, suggesting that young people should be viewed as partners in development. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of sustainable tourism and strengthening the local economy through improved market access and value addition for farmers and handicraft producers.
