Nagaland Governor promotes tourism diversification and technology use
Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav has called for the diversification of the state’s economy by expanding tourism beyond the annual Hornbill Festival. During an interaction with the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Programme Nagaland, the Governor emphasized the need to create sustainable, year-round tourism opportunities and highlighted agriculture—specifically organic farming, coffee, and rubber—as vital sectors for livelihood generation.
In a separate visit to the Nagaland GIS & Remote Sensing Centre and the Drone Centre of Excellence, Governor Yadav stressed the importance of leveraging modern technology for effective governance and youth employment. He noted the diverse applications of drone technology in areas such as agriculture, disaster management, and geospatial mapping. The Governor encouraged the development of technical skills among the youth to foster entrepreneurship and support the vision of a self-reliant India.
