National Lok Adalat settles 2.10 crore cases across India

The 3rd National Lok Adalat of 2026, organized by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), has facilitated the settlement of over 2.10 crore cases across India, involving a cumulative value of ₹13,589.28 crore.

In Telangana, the initiative settled 420,626 cases, resulting in the disbursement of ₹266 crore to litigants. A significant highlight included the settlement of 3,896 cyber fraud cases, which led to ₹42.29 crore being refunded to victims.

In Nagaland, the Lok Adalat achieved an 87% disposal rate, settling 387 out of 444 cases for a total of ₹5,25,66,901. Notable settlements occurred in Dimapur and Kohima districts.

Jammu and Kashmir reported the settlement of over 23,000 cases, with total compensation exceeding ₹176 crore. In Cachar district, 1,052 cases were settled involving more than ₹13.53 crore. Additionally, the Nanded-Waghala City Municipal Corporation collected over ₹5 crore in property tax through the Lok Adalat mechanism.
