Nagaland organisations oppose resignation demand for Minister Temjen Imna Along
The Japukong Senso Senden (JSS) and Tzurangkong Senso Senden have voiced opposition to an ultimatum issued by the Mangkolemba civil society organisation. The ultimatum demanded the resignation of Nagaland Minister Temjen Imna Along regarding the construction of a Multipurpose Hall in Mokokchung.
Both organisations characterized the demand for resignation as inappropriate and ineffective for resolving infrastructure concerns. The JSS stated that such ultimatums lack a lawful basis and may be driven by political considerations rather than public interest. They advocated for constructive dialogue and practical suggestions to address community welfare.
The Tzurangkong Senso Senden expressed continued confidence in Along’s leadership, noting his consecutive election by the voters of the 30th Alongtaki Assembly Constituency. The group questioned the propriety of individuals outside the constituency issuing demands for the minister's resignation and called for a peaceful, responsible approach based on collective responsibility.
