Nagaland University conducts Special Campaign 6 initiatives

Nagaland University organized a Dedicated One-Day Event (DODE) under the Government of India’s Special Campaign 6 across its three campuses on October 28. The initiative focused on cleanliness, waste management, digitalization, and improving governance efficiency.

Key activities included tree plantation, office space improvements, the disposal of scrap and e-waste, and the digitization of inventory management. To promote environmental awareness, the university held a ‘Best out of Waste’ competition for both university staff and students, as well as Kendriya Vidyalaya students.

The campaign also emphasized public health and administrative efficiency. A lecture was provided regarding health services available at the University Health Centre, and health supplements were distributed to local villagers. Administratively, the campaign aims to reduce pendency in official work, expedite public grievances, and transition toward e-office systems to reduce paper usage.
