NAHCON announces 2027 Hajj fares and approved airlines
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the approved fares for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage. Following consultations with service providers in Saudi Arabia and the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, the Federal Government set fares based on departure zones. Pilgrims from the Maiduguri/Yola Zone will pay ₦7,560,822, the Northern Zone ₦7,672,822, and the Southern Zone ₦7,882,822.
Intending pilgrims who previously deposited ₦5 million must pay the remaining balance to complete registration. New registrants are advised to use State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards or approved Hajj Savings Scheme banks. To comply with Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah policies, the deadline for uploading biometric data to the Nusuk-Masar digital platform is September 26, 2026. States must remit all fares by December 2, 2026, to avoid forfeiture of allocated slots.
Additionally, NAHCON has approved five airlines for the 2027 airlift operations: Air Peace Limited, Flynas, Max Air Limited, Saudi Air, and UMZA Aviation Services Limited. These carriers must meet specific safety and regulatory requirements, including baggage allowances of one 32kg checked bag and one 8kg hand luggage.
