Nahdlatul Ulama finalizes 35th Muktamar results amid bribery allegations

The organizing committee for the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Muktamar is finalizing the official documentation of the congress results. In a meeting held in Jakarta, the committee worked to refine the wording of various commissions, including religious, legal, and organizational matters. Once the new PBNU leadership is established, these documents will be formally signed by the Rais Aam, Katib Aam, General Chairman, and Secretary General for socialization to regional and branch levels.

Separately, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), the Secretary General of PBNU for the 2021–2026 period and Chairman of the Muktamar Organizing Committee, has dismissed allegations regarding illicit fund flows during the Muktamar in Jombang. Responding to claims of bribery or intervention, Yusuf characterized the accusations as slander that lacks evidence. He stated that the organization is considering legal action, including issuing subpoenas to individuals spreading unverified information.
